  1. Adorn, You'll Never Get to Heaven
Calling an album "excellent background music" is kind of a backhanded compliment. But this album is truly great for having on and forgetting about as you type into the night. Poppy, melancholy, and cinematic.
  2. Videohead podcast
The podcast I never knew I always wanted: Interviews with music video directors. It's just getting started, but so far they've covered Jonas Åkerlund (Madonna's Ray of Light) Tamra Davis (Mmmm Bop, Eazy E, Billy Madison) and Matthew Rolston (Seal).
  3. The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, A Child's Guide to Good and Evil
As much as I like 60s psychedelia, some of it's pretty silly. And the WCPAEB, and this album in particular, are Silly Over-Serious Exhibit A. But I still listened to this three times this week, and repeated the title track several more times. It would be gangbusters under a "acolytes joining my cult" montage.
