- •Favorite movie: Blow-upThe first time I saw this 1966 film about a photographer obsessively blowing up a photograph because he thinks *maybe* there's a dead body somewhere in the background, I thought it was pretentious and dull. In the many times I've seen Blow-up since, it's become a hypnotizing reflection of the truth we all seek. I owe it my love of blue blazers as well.
- •Favorite book: Play it As It Lays by Joan DidionDidion has this way of gliding over ideas and emotions that may seem cold to some. To me, she's an expert pilot feeling out the terrain before a landing. I don't often re-read books anymore, but I check in with PIAIL about once a year.
- •Do I believe in Heaven or Hell?I'd love to believe there's a heaven, and I'm afraid there's a hell. But no, and no.
