I have about 40 more minutes of peaceful morning. Here's what I've done so far/random thoughts.
  1. Woke up about 15 minutes before the alarm on my alarm clock. I'm the only one in the house who doesn't use my phone as an alarm. I have trust issues.
Had to decide if I should stay awake or snooze. Not a hard decision. Snooze.
  2. After my second alarm went off, I found my phone buried under my pillow.
Turned my brightness way down because retinas. Checked Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter-in that order. Then the weather because we had some pretty big storms last night.
  3. Had to potty.
Dog decided he needed to potty as well and whined at the back door. Until I let him out. He felt the cold wind and came right back inside. He's a wind weenie. We'll try again later. Which means I will have to be quicker to close the door after him.
  4. Started a quick load of laundry.
  5. Headed back to bed, where I am now.
Husband's alarm just went off. He is a snooze button addict. It's ten after six so there is about 40 minutes worth of snoozing coming up. It's just something I have learned to live with. He's already as asleep as he was before the alarm.
  6. My quilt is the best ever.
My best friend made it for me a couple years ago and it is the perfect weight and it's so snuggly and most mornings, I just don't even want to get out from under it.
  7. I have started playing this Disney TsumTsum game.
It's super cute but I can see how it can also get super addicting. I play casually. And I have 11 minutes until I get another life so I can play another round.
  8. I really want breakfast burritos this morning.
We have no tortillas in the house, plus we live in a small town with one grocery store that opens when we are are all leaving for school and work. It's not very handy. You'd think after eight years of living here, I would factor that into my plans. Nope. Not often, anyway.
  9. We can stop at Burrito Tower. They're good.
One of their bacon, egg, and cheese burritos on their homemade tortillas with the homemade salsa would be better than anything I could concoct in my kitchen.
  10. I really hope my list makes someone else want breakfast burritos as well.
  11. Speaking of eggs, I need to buy a couple dozen for deviled eggs.
My deviled eggs have been requested for Thanksgiving at my sister's house. I've found over the years that if I buy the eggs a couple days before I make them, they are VERY hard to peel. And it's infuriating. That maybe why they are called deviled eggs? Anyway, week old eggs work better.
  12. Husband's alarm is going off again.
It's this really soothing tone (song?) that slightly increases in volume but ends with a sharp beep. He never wakes up before the beep.
  13. My son's alarm sounds like the evacuation siren on a naval ship.
I can hear it all the way across the house. It's insane. But it works for him.
  14. My youngest son's alarm is the author of this list.
He is not a morning person. When I walked by his room earlier, I could hear The Office. If he wakes up in the middle of the night, he turns it on so he can fall asleep again. He says only The Office works because he's seen every episode so many times, it's like a bedtime story he doesn't have to pay attention to.
  15. Trace (my dog) is not a morning person, either.
He would much rather stay in bed.
  16. It's supposed to be super windy all day, due to last night's storms.
Guess I'm wearing a ponytail. Like I don't wear a ponytail every day of my life…
  17. Husband's alarm is going off again, but I can barely hear it, so I know he can't.
Apparently, his phone got shoved under his pillow. Or something. Doesn't really matter. He still has at least one more alarm to go.
  18. As for me, I just got really sleepy again. This quilt…I'm telling you.
But it's time to get up and shower. We have to leave the house on time if burritos are happening!!
  19. Have a good day, Listers!
    Is that what we're called?
