Top 9 New Dinner Recipes of 2016

One of our goals for 2016 was to get better at cooking, to try *new* recipes, and to find at least a few fish recipes that I like. I bought a weekly planner for the fridge and we actually stuck to it. The end result? We're going into 2017 with a fresh roster of favorite dinner recipes including YES one fish dinner that I genuinely really like.
  1. Chicken Cordon Bleu Grilled Cheese
Great way to use up some leftover rotisserie chicken. http://www.myrecipes.com/m/recipe/chicken-cordon-bleu-grilled-cheese-sandwiches
  2. Grilled Lemon Chicken with Basil-Feta Rice
Literally the easiest thing you will ever make as long as you remember to marinate the chicken 30 minutes before you start cooking. http://www.myrecipes.com/m/recipe/grilled-lemon-chicken-feta-rice
  3. Spicy Chorizo Shepherd's Pie
I'm drooling just thinking about the prospect of getting to eat this again. So good. And it makes a lot so you WILL have leftovers. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/spicy-shepherds-pie-with-chorizo.html
  4. Mahi-mahi Saltimbocca
The only fish recipe I actually eat. And I don't like fish. http://www.myrecipes.com/m/recipe/prosciutto-sage-wrapped-mahimahi
  5. Easy Chicken & Dumpling Soup
The best thing to eat when you're feeling sick. We mince the veggies and onions so they get nice and silky in the broth as it cooks. http://www.cookinglight.com/recipes/easy-chicken-dumplings-0
  6. Teriyaki Chicken Drumsticks with Curry Rice Pilaf and Tropical Fruit Salad
The fruit salad is no freaking joke — the cilantro on it is a game changer. http://www.myrecipes.com/m/recipe/teriyaki-chicken-drumsticks-tropical-fruit-salad
  7. Chicken with Artichoke Pan Sauce
If I ever forget to plan ahead this is my go-to dinner. It never fails. http://www.cookinglight.com/recipes/chicken-artichoke-pan-sauce
  8. Chicken & Rice Noodle Stir Fry with Ginger and Basil
Fresh ginger is a must for this one. I tried it with bottled ginger recently and it was way too sweet. http://www.cookinglight.com/recipes/chicken-rice-noodle-stir-fry
  9. Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples and Brussels Sprouts
Everything about this is amazing and delicious combined together on one plate. http://www.myrecipes.com/m/recipe/pork-chops-sauteed-apples-brussels-sprouts
