1. Something I've noticed on Facebook recently are all the open letters to everyone/everything possible
  2. "An open letter to the girl in front of me at target" "An open letter to the mom at the park" "An open letter to the employee at _____" "An open letter to the driver who cut me off" "An open letter to the person breathing next to me" aaaaand more but you get it.
  3. Why? Honestly, why does everyone feel the need to write one?!???
  4. You don't need to be offended by everything
  5. Stop making yourself the victim of everything.
Honestly, if someone cuts in front of you in line at target, so what? It doesn't justify a 500 word essay victimizing yourself. Calm down, get a hobby.
  6. Stop making yourself the hero.
Why do you care if a mom is on her phone at the park? You're not parent of the year because you're sliding down the slide with your kid. Chill.
  7. Not everything needs to be told to everyone.
If you ever write an open letter with the title something like "an open letter to the homeless man I bought a meal for" you better check yourself. Not everything you do needs to be broadcasted or shared (whaaaat?!).
  8. It's not that important.
  9. There are bigger problems in the world.
I know you had a rough day because the cashier didn't smile at you, but there are people in this world who are dying because they don't have access to water, soooo?
  11. Mark Zuckerberg didn't drop out of Harvard for you to post lame open letters on his website.
  12. (Is this an open letter?)
