Because if you're still eating at Joan's On 3rd, you're super basic...
  1. Escuela Taqueria
Really good (pricey) tacos. Get the BBQ ribs tacos.
  2. Pace
Best pizza & incredible Italian food. Great setting & ambiance in Laurel Canyon.
  3. Gardens of Taxco
Mexican fine dining. So romantic & nostalgic.
  4. Republique
Go for lunch if you don't want to spend too much money. Get the burger & fries & some pastries if you dgaf
  5. Dan Tana's
Nostalgic & yet still trendy. Super cool hang out & incredible food. Marsala, veal or chicken, both are so good they're nearly sexual.
  6. Open Sesame
My favorite middle eastern food (Israeli) in town. Get the watermelon & grilled cheese salad & then pretty much any entreè
  7. Wood Ranch
It's a chain BBQ place, but despite how corny that is, it's still really great.
  8. Mendocino Farms
    Only if you love sandwiches
  9. Connie & Ted's
    Only if you love seafood
  10. Sycamore Kitchen
    Great breakfast spot.
  11. Jones Bar
Great bar, just as good food & a really dark, cool atmosphere
  12. Food Lab
    Lunch, breakfast, sandwiches
  13. Cafe Midi
Inside a cool store. Good food, tea & coffee, but the kind of place where you feel like you have to drink it with your pinky up
  14. Chateau Marmont
Secretly some of the best food in LA & the best burger you'll have.
  15. Pinches Tacos
A bit pricey for a taco stand, but usually worth it
  16. Yatai
Spicy tuna burger on crispy rice bun. Also all their other tapas.
  17. Bludsoes
BBQ. Not the best. But the best in west Hollywood.
  18. R.I.P. Detroit Coney Dog
Used to be right across from the Whiskey. Best chili dogs & sliders in LA but weird location & hours lead to its eventual death. Also prices were too high for what it was, but good quality made it worth it.
  19. Animal
  20. Plan Check
    Great bar food
  21. Greenblatts
Not the best deli, but they do French dip sandwiches, rare roast beef & brisket very well. Their sides & desserts are also surprisingly great.
  22. Golden State Burger
  23. Farmers Market
DTLA's Grand Central Market is a better option, but Farmer's Market at the Grove has some good options. Can be overwhelming though.
  24. Fig & Olive
Very pricy. Scientology and Obama hot spot. Saw Jonathan Groff here too once. So good. You can keep it under 200 if you don't drink.

  27. Standard Hotel Diner
It's your best bet for 24 hour eating in 90069. Def tops swingers and canters and I won't count the roosevelt's diner unfortunately because of its LA city limits.

  28. Hamburger Mary's
Yes it's good and yeah there's solid parking.

  29. Yellowtail
Expensive sushi. Just like the one at the bellagio in Vegas. Solid but there's better.
