Donald Trump is the worst, we all know that. A Trump presidency would be ludicrous and dangerous. But there are still people who say they won't vote for Hillary or that even if they will they're not excited to. Here's some reason why I think they're wrong
  1. "Human rights are women's rights and women's rights are human rights"
In 1995 at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women, HRC gave a memorable speech on the importance of treating women's rights globally the same as "human rights".
  2. As Secretary of State she extended this message, calling for the first ever United Nations Human Rights Council resolution and said "gay rights are human rights"
  3. "Marriage equality is the law of the land. Deal with it."
  4. As Secretary of State she was instrumental in planning and executing the raid on Osama bin Laden
  5. Also as Secretary of State she authored the sanctions that opened negotiation between the US and Iran that led to nuclear deals.
  6. She orchestrated the cease fire between Israel and Hamas
  7. While at Wellesley College she helped lead civil rights protests
She pressured the school to recruit more black students and do more to ensure their protection.
  8. Her Wellesley Commencement Speech was and still is amazing
It showed her keen understanding and belief in using politics for social change "Part of the problem with empathy with professed goals is that emtpathy doesn't do us anything. We've had lots of empathy; we've had lots of sympathy, but we feel that for too long our leaders have used politics as the art of making what appears to be impossible, possible"
  9. As First Lady, she helped create and get congress to pass the Children’s Health Insurance Program
This got millions of children health insurance and was a huge step towards the Affordable Care Act
  10. Healthcare has always been a priority of her, especially for children and the military
As New York senator she fought to insure medical care for veterans returning home from war and expanded the Family Medical Leave Act to allow families of wounded service people to get paid leave while taking care of their loved ones.
  11. Also as First Lady she helped pass the Adoption and Safe Families Act which revamped and expanded the adoption and foster care systems
  12. And she hosted the first-ever White House Convening on Latino Children and Youth to help ensure Latino children have the opportunities succeed.
  13. As Senator, she secured $21 billion in federal aid to support and rebuild New York City after the 9/11 attacks
Her legislation helped protect and get much needed medical aid to first responders.
  14. Also as senator she cosponsored and introduced the Paycheck Fairness Act and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
These bills, both passed into law, help fight pay inequality for women
  15. She also called for an investigation into the Bush Administration's enforcement of equal pay laws
The investigation ultimately discovered that the administration was NOT enforcing these equal pay laws nationally.
  16. For over 40 years she's been subjected to misogynistic insults and a lack of respect from the media and her peers but she's been extremely practical and effective anyway because she don't give a fuck
  17. Amazing pantsuits
  18. Seriously
  19. She's not perfect, no politician is, but there are SO many reasons to love, respect, and VOTE for her.
