FAVORITE ALBUMS

These don't necessarily include my favorite songs, but they are the albums that as a whole have a consistently good collection of songs.
  1. "Funeral" - Arcade Fire
Beautiful. I love albums that have a consistent theme that ties each song together.
  2. "The Suburbs" - Arcade Fire
I imagine this album tells a story of how suburbs feel like nightmarish traps, but how they also make us feel nostalgic for our childhood. We simultaneously want to leave and go back forever.
  3. "Hospice" - The Antlers
Horribly depressing, but also beautiful, this unfolds like a story about death and dying.
  4. "Congratulations" - MGMT
Just a really good collection of songs
  5. "Oracular Spectacular" - MGMT
Just a really good collection of songs
  6. "Challengers" - The New Pornographers
This album always reminds of spring, of the feeling of wanting a fresh start, a new beginning.
  7. "Transference" - Spoon
Sounds like cold, sketchy funk (I don't know what this means, but it sounds right)
  8. "Comfort Eagle" - Cake
Just a really good collection of songs
  9. "Electric Warrior" - T. Rex
    Blues-y and classic rock-y
  10. "Wincing the Night Away" - The Shins
Just a really good collection of songs
  11. "Oh Inverted World" - The Shins
Just a really good collection of songs
  12. "Teen Dream" - Beach House
Just a really good collection of songs
  13. "First Impressions of Earth" - The Strokes
Just a really good collection of songs
  14. "Classics" - She and Him
I really love Zooey Deschanel's voice, okay? And I love classic jazz standards.
  15. "Floating World" - Anathallo
The whole album is based on an old Japanese folk tale. The sound is so unique, with both lush harmonies and harsh dissonances.
  16. "Canopy Glow" - Anathallo
Just a really good collection of songs
