In honour of Halloween, here are some of my favourite books about witches in no particular order.
  1. The Witching Hour by Anne Rice

  2. Gideon by Alex Gordon

  4. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis

  5. Hermione Granger and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling (what that's totally the title...)
    82ecedb5 dba1 47fb ad2d f2cd99bd3b7e
  6. Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman (so what if the witch is somewhat tangential!)
    82df27a2 712b 4508 8b82 25734355bd2a
  7. The spin-off book about Moira the white witch that Patrica Briggs keeps promising she will write one day (somewhat pre-emptive I know, so sue me...)
  8. No, I haven't read A Discovery of Witches, so it can't be on this list
  9. Yes, I have read Wicked. It's kind of over-rated.
  10. Write more witch books, please! Can witches be the next big thing in YA or something?
  11. Happy Halloween!
