5 Albums That Changed My Life

These albums have come to define large chunks of my life. (In no particular order)
  1. 1.
    Death Cab for Cutie- Plans
This album was my introduction to DCFC and began my journey down the rabbit hole of discovering music that wasn't on the radio. Favorite track: Crooked Teeth
  2. 2.
    Tegan and Sara- The Con
Like most baby lesbians in the late 00's, this album was the soundtrack to my coming out journey. Favorite Track: Relief Next To Me
  3. 3.
Cat Stevens- Teaser and the Firecat
I mean, this album is pretty damn near perfect. Favorite track: If I Laugh
  4. 4.
Bright Eyes- I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
This album was on repeat from 2007-2014. It has gotten me through some pretty sever bouts of depression, and inspired me to purchase an acoustic guitar I couldn't afford which I hardly played. Favorite track: Train Underwater
  5. 5.
    Caitlin Rose- Own Side Now
Own Side Now kept me company when I first moved back to Dallas and had zero friends outside of my mother and grandmother. I would sit in my bedroom at my grandmother's house with headphones and contemplate why I decided to leave all of my friends in Las Vegas. Favorite tracks: a tie between For the Rabbits and New York
