  1. The rough draft of a story I wrote in my freshman year
We had to do an adaptation of a scene from The Odyssey written from the point of view of the Cyclops. A few days after we turned it in, my teacher told me that he loved mine and that he bragged about it to the other English teachers. I never wanted to get rid of it but I didn't know what to do with it so I've had it in my trash can (which I don't actually use as a trash can, so it's more like a bucket) for the past three and a half years
  2. College mail
I'm superstitious so I don't want to get rid of these until I actually get into college. Update: now that I'm going to college, these are in my recycle bin
  3. 3 (broken) birthday candles
I went over to my friends house on her birthday with extra candles in my pocket, which eventually migrated to the top of my dresser
  4. Bag of unmatched socks
Well, there's a reason to this one. I read in Better Homes and Gardens magazine that a good way to reunite lost socks is to keep unmatched socks in a bag and look through it every once in a while to see if there are any matches
