My Favorite DCOMs From Each Year I've Been Alive

With rankings for the ones I've seen. Inspired by @mads
  1. 1998- Halloweentown
The only DCOM from 1998 I've actually seen, but I honestly love this movie. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  2. 1999- Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century
This movie was so cool. Close runner up is Johnny Tsunami ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  3. 2000- The Color of Friendship
Hands down my favorite DCOM in existence. Back when Disney Channel was not afraid to address real issues even though they weren't pretty. Even though the film has a happy ending, I read that no one knows what happened to the real life Mahree. Such a beautiful film nevertheless. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (extra star bc this movie is 💯)
  4. 2001- Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge
Not too passionate about any of the movies in this year. I liked this one, but I liked the first Halloweentown more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  5. 2002- Get a Clue
I watched this at my cousins' house all the time and I thought this movie was so cool. Lindsay Lohan's sister's spy gear was so futuristic to 8 year old me and the way they uncover their teacher's innocence was beyond awesome. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  6. 2003- Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off
I am not too familiar with any of the DCOMs from this year. This is the one I kind of remember watching and enjoying. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  7. 2004- Stuck in the Suburbs
I don't think I've seen the 3rd Zenon movie and I've already used two of the Halloweentown movies, although I admittedly did like Halloweentown High more than Kalabar's Revenge. This movie was pretty good. Not my favorite overall. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  8. 2005- Now You See It
I think I watched this for the first time in the summer after 7th grade and thought it was just so cool ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  9. 2006- High School Musical
HSM all the way 🙌🏽 This is actually probably chronologically the first DCOM I've seen (other than perhaps Get a Clue). I watched it at school in 2nd grade and everyone else had already seen it so I was the annoying person asking for clarifications on the plot and Sharpay's name and who the mean girl was the whole time. I still love the songs. Solid, quintessential DCOM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  10. 2007- Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board
Pretty cool movie. I watched this before watching Johnny Tsunami and liked it. Didn't like HSM 2 very much ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  11. 2008- Camp Rock
It was pretty good. Demi Lovato was adorable and I liked the songs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  12. 2009- Hatching Pete
I don't feel too strongly about any of the movies from this year, but I think I liked this one more than the rest ⭐️⭐️
  13. 2010- Avalon High
After a long streak of DCOMs deteriorating in quality, I remember thinking this was a good one. Probably because it was based on a book ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  14. 2011- Lemonade Mouth
I loved this one. I loved the songs, the characters, storyline, everything. Also based on a book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️️
  15. 2012- Radio Rebel
At this point I stopped watching Disney Channel. I only watched this movie and Frenemies, and Frenemies sucked, so this one wins by default. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  16. 2013- Teen Beach Movie
The only DCOM of 2013 apparently. I've never seen it, but I heard this one was good (though I think they could get more creative with titles)
  17. 2014- Cloud 9
Idk, I haven't seen any of these. But Shaun White was the producer of this and it's a snowboarding movie so maybe it's a little realistic?
  18. 2015- Teen Beach 2
Don't know about this either. If the first one was good, perhaps the second was as well? They still could improve with titles though
  19. 2016- Adventures in Babysitting
It was the only one with a description on Wikipedia ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
