September Reads

  1. Truly, Madly, Guilty — Lianne Moriarty
Love this book. This author is so great at writing books that I refuse to put down. It centers on a BBQ that changes the lives of three separate couples, but the events at the BBQ are carefully unfolding along the way. It honestly isn't until chapter 80+ that the full story is revealed, but guessing throughout is always entertaining. I'm so excited to see how Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman will turn this into a movie.
  2. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - JK Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne
I could NOT put this down. It's written like a play, which I absolutely love. I haven't read any Harry Potter in maybe 15 years, because a friend at the time spoiled the end of the fifth book, so I quit reading. I'm not a huge "Potterhead" like everyone else, but I did love this story. It focuses on Harry's son Albus and their relationship. Growing up Potter ain't easy, and time turners don't make it easier.
