  1. A Perfect Day for Bananafish by J.D. Salinger
I'm more of a watcher than a reader, so I prefer short stories to books. Once I finished reading this story for the first time, I had to put down my book and stare into space for 20 minutes before I could continue on with my day.
  2. The Shining
I'll be mad if any of you haven't seen The Shining. It is the best film of all time, in my opinion. I did my entire thesis about it. The colors, the symmetry, the metaphors... and you know a movie is good if there are literal conspiracy theories around it. (i.e. Some people think Stanley Kubrick filmed the moon landing, with one piece of evidence lying in the shot pictured.)
  3. Doolittle by Pixies
From start to finish, this album is amazing and, in my opinion, defines the overall sound as a band. Pixies aren't your average group, so if you're looking for something that will blow your mind, this is the one.
