The Trees Shiver In Their Leaves. 🍁 🍃 🍂

An original free form poem.
  1. It is a typical Canadian October.
    The trees are shivering.
  2. Rain drops cling to the backside of leafs
    Like perfect dew drop tears.
  3. The fog rolled in thick and cold all day Saturday.
By evening visibility was less than half a city block.
  4. This is our almost Canadian Thanksgiving look.
    Yards are full of leaves.
  5. There are brilliant sunsets.
    And almost bare trees.
  6. Tuesday morning,
    The snow arrives.
  7. Soft. Quiet. Damp.
    Perfect snow people building snow.
  8. Beneath their umbrellas,
The walkers smiled at each other.
  9. This is our Pre-Halloween snow.
    A ghost 👻 walked here.
  10. Today there is no sky,
Only thick, dense, cloud cover overhead.
  11. The trees shiver in their leaves.

  12. It always snows before Halloween. If we are lucky it will leave soon and the rest of October will go back to being Fall.
