The caveats to this list: there are a ton of bands I like that don't have good live recordings, so it's probably a little more constrained than a general music list I would make. Also, Later with Jools Holland has a TON of great live stuff I strongly encourage you to check out.
  1. Static
Dutch prog rock which you may not be into but their performance is amazing. It has whistling, flute playing, yodeling, and scat singing all by their front man. It sounds like it won't work, but it works so well.
  2. Static
Apparently this song is about anal. I don't know, but she kills it and subtly reminds you that she used to be in a punk band.
  3. Static
This album is perfect, live version is close to perfect as well.
  4. Goin' Against Your Mind by Built to Spill:
  5. Death Letter by The White Stripes:
I love Son House, I love this cover, reminds me what all the hype about Jack White was for.
  6. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi by Radiohead:
I'm not the world's biggest Radiohead fan but seeing this made me a little more of one.
  7. Lazy Eye by Silversun Pickups:
Their energy on here really got me into them. Their discography goes about 50/50 for me but this performance is great.
