My Favorite Podcasts

These are the podcasts that I return to often. While driving, dressing, flying.
  1. Don Carlin's Hardcore History http://www.dancarlin.com/hardcore-history-series/ terrific, well-researched series of in-depth analysis of historical events. Published rarely.
  2. 99% Invisible http://99percentinvisible.org/episodes/ nice show about the world around us that passes unnoticed.
  3. Don Carlin's Common Sense. http://www.dancarlin.com/common-sense-home-landing-page/ you will not agree with everything he says, but his thoughtful, unusual stances are intellectually invigorating.
  4. A16z interesting design and technology show
  5. Freakonomics Radio http://freakonomics.com/ not every show is great, but when they are they are terrific. A recent one on the making of the common pencil was fascinating.
  6. The Many Moods of Ben Vaughn. http://www.xpn.org/xpn-programs/many-moods-ben-vaughn. Terrific eclectic show featuring rock tracks you haven't heard for decades, obscure pop tunes, unusual finds. Always entertaining.
