A list of novels and reviews for novels I read this year in no particular order.
- •Paper Towns by John Green I finished this while waiting for our planes to stop being delayed. I found the characters in this novel to be very well written but extremely unlikable. I think the idea behind this novel was unique and interesting but the plot line seems to lose focus.
- •Wild by Cheryl Strayed is a tragically griping memoir of Strayed's journey through grief after her mother passed away. Her writing is remarkable and truly brings you along with her as she hikes the PCT to find herself and shed her own demons. However, I mostly found myself in wishing she would have a revelation already.
- •Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I couldn't put this novel down; it was amazing writing and a riveting story. Where most dystopian young adult lit lacks plot or character development Aveyard delivers on both accounts with a beautiful writing style to boot!
