My friends and I "livebook" all these musicals. (I.e. We start a Facebook post and comment through the whole thing) our tune very much changed from start to finish.
  1. As it started, I had LOTS of doubts.
  2. 3 hours of this nonsense?
  3. So many people and camera movements, this feels very ambitious. Maybe more ambitious than it needs to be.
  4. And then I became OBSESSED with the production. HOW did they pull it off? So damn impressive.
  5. The cast was diverse, in both race and body shape and that was very refreshing. Good on ya, FOX.
  6. As it continued, the songs got better.
  7. Keke Palmer. Damn girl. That USO number. So money. And more obsession with the production. Costumes. Set design. Impressed.
  8. Vanessa Hudgens. Her dad died last night. And she was REMARKABLE. so much respect. Wow.
  9. Guys. When he first started Aaron Tveit really didn't impress me. I expected so much more. By the end. Whoa. I would very much like to have his babies. I couldn't look away from his hair. I have a sideburns weakness. Then he danced and sang. AND THEN THE SHORT SHORTS. And then HIS ARMS. I'm officially in love.
    Short shorts FTW always.
It was everything I had hoped it would be. I also wonder what the 4th boy is up to these days.
  11. Original frenchie as the wise waitress was perfection.
  12. Blanche. She was so good. As was Ana gastayer, as per usual.
  13. THE DANCING. ALL THE DANCING. redeemed everything that went wrong.
  14. Greased Lightning. More production winning. Great!
I mean, technically his new band was with him but whatevs.
  16. Mario Lopez actually acting again! Though basically it was a Very Special Episode of saved the bell.
    But dem dimples tho...
  17. THE DANCING!!!!
  18. Julianne Hough redeemed herself with the dancing (obviously) but also with nailing Hopelessly Devoted.
  19. The race scene. How they made that happen and look fantastic. Damn. The lighting. The effects. The camera work. SO GOOD.
  20. The finale was so FUN and well done. This was SO MUCH BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.
Though all the commercials for Tyler Perry's live modern imagining of The Passion that's gonna air on Palm Sunday....oh man...I can't even....
  21. My mind is blown just trying to figure out they pulled this off. I NEED a documentary about the behind the scenes production. I'm obsessed.
  22. Seriously though. Aaron Tveit's arms. ❤️💪🏼💪🏼❤️
