  1. Slapstick in the Movies
    A history of slapstick from Chaplin in 1916 to Anchorman (?!) in 2004. Also, TCM is collaborating again with Ball State University and the Canvas Network with a course in Slapstick.
  2. Star of the Month-Gene Hackman
    Hackman makes his SOTM debut with 21 films plus a few TCM premieres. Every Friday.
  3. Starring Preston Sturges
    TCM celebrates the director with six films.
  4. Happy Anniversary
    Labor Day evening has five films celebrating milestone anniversaries for several famous movies including the 100th anniversary of D.W. Griffith's Intolerance, the 75th anniversary of Citizen Kane, the 80th anniversary of My Man Godfrey, and the 60th anniversary of The Searchers
  5. AFI Tribute to John Williams
    TCM airs the AFI tribute to Star Wars and Jaws composer John Williams.
