ALBUMS I KNOW EVERY WORD TO BECAUSE I WORKED AT BARNES & NOBLE

Okay so B&N was the only bookstore in my hometown and I started working there when I was 16. Artists could make deals with B&N so their albums would play in-store. Every month the Music dept got like a dozen new CDs to choose from and we'd play the best ones. Here are some I can sing along to every word bc I heard them so much:
  1. "Mamma Mia! The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack"
Okay SOMEONE KEPT HIDING THIS CD so we couldn't play it anymore bc everyone got so sick of it and at our morning meetings before opening the manager would always be like "Mamma Mia has gone missing...again" it was amazing
  2. Adele, "19"
So good. Can't hear "Right as Rain" without thinking back to those shifts
  3. Josh Groban, "Noel"
    Lolololol
  4. MGMT, "Oracular Spectacular"
I remember v clearly the shift when "Kids" came on and I heard it for the first time and left my Children's dept sanctuary and ran back to Music to find out what was playing
  5. The National, "High Violet"
Got so into this I bought the CD and took out all their earlier albums from the library to import them into my computer
  6. Radiohead, "In Rainbows"
One of the better spans of time in our store, musically
  7. Billy Joel, "12 Gardens Live"
Whenever I hear the song "Movin Out" I'm transported to my first month at B&N, holiday season 2007
  8. Susan Boyle, "I Dreamed a Dream"
    Freaking lol
  9. Robert Plant and Alison Kraus, "Raising Sands"
This is one of my fave albums of all time
  10. Ray LaMontagne, "Gossip in the Grain"
    Ugh
  11. Colbie Caillat, Coco
    Ughhhh
  12. Andrea Bocelli, "The Best of Andrea Bocelli: Vivere"
Okay I'm a sucker for "Time to Say Goodbye"
  13. Andrea Bocelli, "My Christmas"
    Lol
  14. Carole King and James Taylor, "Live at the Troubador"
Yo this album is DOPE I bought it for mad peeps as a gift
  15. Il Divo, "The Promise"
    Lol
  16. "After Dark: The Alternative + Gothic Rock Collection"
This came out in the midst of Twilight mayhem and it was actually great
  17. Rosanne Cash, "The List"
Rosanne Cash doing covers of her dad's favorite songs
  18. 2Cellos, "2Cellos"
Yo I'm obsessed with this cd. Cello covers of "Hurt," "Smooth Criminal," "Welcome to the Jungle"????? Yes PLZ [Technically this album has no words but I'm including it anyway, BITE ME]
  19. "Once: Music from the Motion Picture"
There are only so many times you can listen to "When Your Mind's Made Up" b4 you want to cut your ears off
